What are the common enamel defects?
Uneven glaze, black glaze is exposed at the edges
In order to ensure that the enamel is firmly attached to the metal,high-quality enamel products will have multiple layers of glaze, from the inside to the outside, there are acid and alkali-proof glazes(mostly used for kettles and coffee pots)→white top glaze→black base glaze→metal plate→Black base glaze→white top glaze→colored top glaze and applique top glaze.
Manual glazing is to immerse the entire embryo in the glaze tank.Because of gravity, the glaze in some places will hang down or be thicker or thinner. It is difficult to ensure that the glaze is completely smooth and uniform. The machine will be better, and the EFI situation The underglaze will be more even. The uniformity of the glaze can also be used to verify the credibility of the merchant's"all handmade".If the edge is too sharp, the adhesion will be poor and the top glaze will be difficult to adhere,so the black base glaze will be exposed. This is a problem that can occur when glazing by hand or machine. The white glazed surface will have black spots if you look closely
Black dots≠Porcelain.During the firing process, dust and micro-swarf in the environment will fall on the glaze, forming black dots, which will be more obvious on the white glaze.Similarly, this is also limited by the production process of the enamel itself, which is unavoidable and has nothing to do with the quality. There are hook traces left by hanging at the flanging
Enamel products will have a few inconspicuous pits on the inside of the flanging or in the handle. These are the traces of the hook hanging during the glazing, drying and firing process. It does not affect the appearance or use.
Seeing the above imperfections,Virgo and obsessive-compulsive disorder may detour, but I still insist on not covering up the flaws.Although enamel has these inherent imperfections, there is no denying its practical value. After all,in detail,no person or thing is perfect. We must have the courage to change the things that can be changed, the tolerance and tolerance that cannot be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the two.Enclose the use of enamel, take care of it,and it will stay with you longer.
Cautions for the use of enamel
After the first use, rinse with water and dry, carefully wipe the inside and outside of the enamel product with cooking oil, heat it on a low fire, and dry it after cooling. The penetration of grease can protect the pot body and have an anti-sticking effect.
1.Please add water, oil and other liquids before heating, and don't burn it empty. The enamel heats up quickly and evenly, just medium and small fire.
2.After the enamel is heated, the handle will be very hot, remember to wear heat-proof gloves and place it on the heat-insulating placemat.Do not boil milk over 70%of the capacity to avoid heat overflow.
3.Use wooden or silicon spoons in the cookware, because iron utensils will cause scratches on the cookware.
4,4.Do not rinse hot pots and pans with cold water directly or put them in the refrigerator, and let them cool naturally to avoid sudden cold and heat causing the enamel to fall off.
1.The enamel is easily scratched by a wire brush, just a damp cloth. The white enamel may turn yellow after long-term use,and it can be recovered by scrubbing with nano sponge or toothpaste.
2.In order to prevent rust,it is recommended to wipe off the water stains in time after cleaning each time,so that the inner wall and edges can be smeared with vegetable oil.
3.If you use low-purity gas for heating,it may cause the bottom of the pot to turn black and affect your beauty.Adding heat insulation pads will not work.
4.After accidentally scorching, pour warm water and baking soda into the container and stir evenly, add a small amount of cooking oil,let it stand for 1-2 hours, boil until bubbling, turn off the heat, and after cooling, wipe it off with a sponge or veil cloth.

A composite material that is coated with one or several layers of enamel on the surface of the metal, and after firing, the two undergo a physical and chemical reaction to bond firmly.
